Raul A. Villavicencio

Mr. Villavicencio has 20 + years experience in Management,  Sales, Import-Export, Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain Management and Consulting.

 

He was born in Ecuador, and has worked developing business and supply chain management between Latin America, Central America, North America and Europe from 1986 to today.  He has been Involved in several trade and civic organizations and a speaker in several conferences developing and promoting international trade.

 Since 2000 Mr. Villavicencio has been involved in the advancement of cool chain management. He has been a member of the Hellmann Perishable Logistics Worldwide Steering committee, member of the Council of Logistics Professionals, Member of TIACA (The International Air Cargo Association), member of the Perishable Advisory Board for RFID development for Western Michigan College, member of the Miami-Dade Airport Perishable Board, member of the Air Cargo Americas Steering Committee, member of the National Association of Factoring Professionals.
 He is a Lifetime Governor of the Ecuadorian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Miami.  He was President of the Ecuadorian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Miami for two periods: 1998-1999 and 1999-2000, of which, he was also Vice-President for 4 consecutive years and a member of the Board of Directors for 3 years prior. He was a member of the Executive Committee of the Bi-National Chamber of the Americas1998-2000 and founder of the CBCA (Council of the Binational Chambers of the Americas).
 Imagen Latinoamericana,a Hispanic community newspaper, conferred upon Mr. Villavicencio the Ecuadorian Citizen of the Year award in 1998 and Ecuadorian Executive of the Year for 1995.   He was recipient of the “Juan Montalvo” Award for Executive of the year in 1995 conferred by the Foundation for Art and Culture from Ecuador.
 He has written articles for several publications including: The Miami Herald/El Nuevo Herald, Revista Remesa, Air Cargo World, Refrigerated Transport, and Énfasis Logistica.
